NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Monday, November 23, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at the Wolf River Town Hall, 8800 County Road II, Fremont, a PUBLIC HEARING on the PROPOSED 2021 BUDGET of the Town of Wolf River in Winnebago County will be held. The proposed budget in detail is available for inspection at the Town Hall and online and the town website. The summary of the proposed budget is sent for posting at the Fremont Post Office.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Monday, November 23, 2020, immediately following the conclusion of the Budget Hearing, a SPECIAL TOWN MEETING of the electors called pursuant to Section 60.12(1)(b) of Wisconsin Statutes by the Town Board for the following purposes will be held:
To set the 2020 Town Tax Levy to be paid in 2021 pursuant to Section 60.10(1)(a) of Wis. Statutes.

Notices are mailed or e-mailed by the clerk for posting at the following locations: Union Star, Hahn-a-Lula Resort and are posted at the Wolf River Town Hall, and Fremont Post Office.
Please visit myvote.wi to request an absentee ballot to be sent to you. Enter your name and birthdate and follow the instructions. Don’t forget to upload a valid photo ID. Upon completion, I will be notified and I will send you your ballot. You may mail it back to be OR drop it off in our DROP BOX located to the right of the front door of the town hall. In-person absentee voting does not being until AFTER October 20. You may call to schedule a time to come in at 920-446-3837. If you are not registered to vote, you may also visit myvote.wi to register.
Beginning at 4:00 p.m.
PLEASE BE ADVISED OF THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS to appear before the Board of Review and procedural requirements if appearing before the Board:
No person may appear before the Board of Review, testify to the Board by telephone or contest the amount of assessment unless, at least 48 hours before the first meeting of the Board or at least 48 hours before the objection is heard if the objection is allowed because the person has been granted a waiver of the 48-hour notice of an intent to file a written objection by appearing before the Board during the first two hours of the meeting and showing good cause for failure to meet the 48-hour notice requirement and files a written objection, that the person provides to the Clerk of the Board of Review notice as to whether the person will ask for removal of any Board members and, if so, which member will be removed and the person’s reasonable estimate of the length of time that the hearing will take.
When appearing before the Board, the person shall specify, in writing the person’s estimate of the value of the land and of the improvements that are the subject of the person’s objection and specify the information that the person used to arrive at that estimate. Please look under Notices for all additional requirements.
