Proposed transportation improvement
The Town of Wolf River, in conjunction with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, is proposing to replace the existing bridge carrying South Road over the Rat River in the Town of Wolf River, Winnebago County. The project is located on South Road at the crossing of the Rat River, approximately 0.6 miles west of CTH MM. In addition to the bridge replacement, the project will include a minor amount of roadway approach work and new guardrail at all four quadrants of the new bridge. No right-of-way acquisition is anticipated to construct the project. South Road will be closed to through traffic during construction. The project is currently scheduled for construction in 2018.

Interested persons are encouraged to attend the public information presentation at the Town of Wolf River’s regularly scheduled November Town Board meeting on November 28, 2016 at 7:00 pm. The Town Hall is located at 8800 County Road II, Fremont, WI 54940. The facility is wheelchair accessible.

Representatives from the Town of Wolf River and Gremmer & Associates, Inc. (design consultant) will be available to explain the proposed improvements and listen to your thoughts.
